The Precious Stones Women and Girls Ministry was founded on the word of God that came to Dr Rutendo Faith Wutawunashe on 2 May 1990 while she was in Durham, North Carolina, USA on a ministry trip with the Apostle and Prophet Andrew Wutawunashe.

This word came in the form of a vision, where a lump of soil was washed by a stream of water, eroding the soil to reveal an emerald. As the water continued to flow, a sharp instrument appeared to further cleanse the crevices and polish the gem to a beautiful finish.
